EURegionsWeek2022

EURegionsWeek2022

The European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) is a major annual event dedicated to regional policy.

The 2022 edition will particularly focus on the themes of the dual green and digital transition, territorial cohesion and youth empowerment, with a special focus on the role of cohesion policy in Europe's sustainable recovery as the most effective instrument of solidarity in response to emergencies and the consequences of crises.

In the European Year of Youth, the workshop entitled "Youth Beyond Borders. How to overcome obstacles" will present reports from participating regions on cross-border and transnational youth projects and demonstrate how individual experiences can serve as a springboard for a more in-depth discussion of common challenges and opportunities. In particular, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, together with Carinthia, will present the joint experience in the SCET-NET project, Senza Confini Education and Training, which aims to initiate stable institutional cooperation between Italy and Austria for the coordination of the legal and regulatory framework in the field of training for the definition of pedagogical models functional to 'initiate cross-border exchange paths for students and apprentices, aged 16 and over.

The event will be held on October 13, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Office of the Northern Ireland Executive in Brussels, located in Chaussée d'Etterbeek 180, 1040 Brussels.
