Working together to respond to local needs.
The FIT4CO project directly involves the EGTC Euregio Senza Confini and the EGTC Tyrol-Alto Adige-Trentino and is the first case of institutional collaboration between these bodies in Italy and among the few in Europe. The project aims to strengthen cross-border cooperation in the Program area by involving the public administrations present in the territories where an information/training activity will be carried out on EU competences, on the tools and benefits of cross-border cooperation in order to prepare some project proposals to be presented in future calls for tenders of ETC Programs or Programs under direct EU management.
The core of the FIT4CO project are the so-called cooperation tandems made up of public administration employees of the project area. The staff of the selected administrations will be accompanied by experts in the sector, in the development of cooperation projects on issues and topics of significant territorial impact, in order to make them operational and eligible for funding in the next Community programming 2021-2027.

The final conference of the Fit4Co project, held on 18 October 2021 at the Miramare castle in Trieste, was an opportunity to present the results of the project, starting from the activity that was considered the "engine of Fit4Co", i.e. the tandems cross-border.
Subsequently, space was given to dialogue with the Universities of the Euregio area and with the territories regarding future prospects and opportunities for collaboration for overcoming cross border obstacles. Thanks to the contribution of the Management Authority of the Italy-Austria Interreg programme, there was talk of multilevel governance.
